Want a California themed portrait of your furry, feathered or scaled friend?
For a limited time and limited quantity, I am opening up pet portrait commissions.
What you will receive
- A chest up watercolor portrait of your pet with up to 3 California native plants on a white background within a 12 x 12 area. (The native plants (and placement either around, below or on top of) are up to you. Additional plants can be added for $30 per species- please mention if you would like additional plants when you send in photos of your pet and we can discuss this further.)
- A framable, cleaned up, high-quality archival print on sustainable bamboo paper along with the original painting.
- 2 vinyl stickers of your pet portrait
The painting, print and stickers will be for your personal use only, and cannot be reproduced for profit.
What I need from you:
- Once you pay, please email (tina@coyotebrushstudios.com) a screenshot of your confirmation email, along with at least one clear, high-quality image of your pet. I’ll be using this pose as the reference for the painting. Photos taken at eye level and in natural/shaded lighting work best. (The more detail in the photo will mean the more detail I can put in.)
- Additional images/videos/words that capture the personality of your friend are gladly welcomed so I can better capture their unique personality.
- If you have specific native plant species in mind let me know. You can also just let me know you want “pink wildflowers”, or “succulents and ferns” or “lily species” too if you have an idea of what you want but no specific plants in mind! Location or habitat-based requests work well too, if you have a special and meaningful place in mind, like "plants of Southern California" or "plants of the redwood forest".
The process
Once I receive the above from you, I will get to work on a sketch of your pet. I’ll send you a black and white rough sketch before starting the painting. Please note that the paintings can take 2-3 weeks to complete.
